This corona pandemic is teaching us valuable lessons. If not learnt now, then when?

India is seeking to become a 5 trillion dollars economy by 2024. We are already 5th largest economy in the world.

But, still we are failing at multiple front. This pandemic has shown us how poor health facilities we have. Also, social security net is not at its best. This we can see from the pathetic condition of migrant labourers stranded throughout the country without any proper living conditions, like food, money, shelter, health and sanitation. It is a shear joke to ask of social distancing, when lakhs and crores are forced to live in slum like condition. We know that those slum-dwellers are the wheels of our economy, but still they the one neglected most.

And, I can’t blame any particular government for their wretched condition, but our successive governments has failed us.

In the country of Mahatma Gandhi, who dreamt of decentralised economy, why we have system where only few economic centres are getting loaded and majority of country is getting neglected. He spoke of Gram-Rajya, where every village is economically sufficient, where agriculture is valued. This pandemic has highlighted how important is Bapu today.

Recent events have created two contrasting life, namely “aam zindagi” and “mentos zindagi”.

Ye hai Aam zindagi

1. UDAN scheme (Ude desh ka aam nagrik) was launched in 2017 to enable cheap flights for aam aadmi by PM
2. But, migrant workers are forced to walk barefoot. Yesterday, 14 of them died tragically by train.
3. Trains are getting operated, but not much. (Can’t blame anyone, as our population is huge, and proper development couldn’t take place in every part of country. So people are forced to migrate for job.)
4. Our successive govt has failed us. More so, Bihar has done nothing in past 30 yrs in name of development. Why we are forced to migrate for studies and jobs?
5. Karnataka govt (BJP ruled) first stopped the trains, stating who would work in their factories if all migrants leave the state. Though now they have allowed them to go.
These are the same people who used to curse that Biharis are eating up their state’s economy and job.
6. Labour laws got suspended for 1000 days in UP, MP (again BJP ruled). Now, labourers won’t be able to claim for their salary or man-days work.

Ye hai Mentos zindagi

1. Vande Bharat Mission launched. 1.9 lakh people will be evacuated from Gulf, UK, US, etc (largest since 1990 Kuwait airlift).
(No problem in doing so… Every human should be taken care)
2. They will be paying for the airlift services.
(Haan mera bhai hai to, Noton ki sarkaar hai na)

At last, I would urge the respective government to act responsibly and also urge the good citizens of India to become helping hand in nation building, rather than fighting among ourselves over pity issues.

Peace Out ☮️ (I intend not to harm or defame anyone or any government. It’s just about those poor people who are neglected most, who are mute despite of having tongue to speak…)
